Welcome 2026, and thank you so much for joining me here!
To me, a new year feels like a blank slate and a good time to take a moment to pause, reflect, let go of everything that was not working, and move forward with positivity and fresh eyes. It is a time to take stock of what already feels good and allow everything else to settle naturally into place. A collected life, much like a collected home, is built slowly with intention and care.
In design, the spaces that resonate the most to me are rarely rushed. They evolve over time, shaped by lived experience rather than trends. Such as a chair that was never meant to match, but somehow belongs. Artwork added years apart that still speaks the same language. Wallpaper chosen not because it is everywhere, but because it makes you smile every time you walk past it. These layers tell a story, and that story is what gives a home its soul.
As I look ahead to the year, I find myself drawn to that same sense of ease and patience. Choosing pieces with meaning. Letting rooms grow instead of forcing them. Allowing whimsy to live comfortably alongside function. In this year ahead, I am excited about noticing more of the subtle moments: the details, the craftsmanship, the humor, and the joy tucked quietly into everyday moments.
Homes should reflect how we actually live. With dogs underfoot, workdays that blend into evenings, and spaces that feel welcoming rather than perfect. The space around us is meant to inspire us and invite us to stay a little longer.
Cheers to 2026. Wishing you and your loved ones a thoughtful and inspiring year ahead.
Until next time.
Take the road less traveled. You never know where you might end up!
